A little about me
I am a first-generation Australian of Korean heritage, proudly representing Calamvale Ward, the community where I was born and raised.
At 23, thanks to our grassroots campaign and volunteers we made history. I won the first Brisbane City Council ward for Labor in over 20 years & defeated a 16 year LNP incumbent amidst a 6% swing against Labor city-wide. Growing a large ALP branch, I know how to run a winning campaign, and know that only Labor can deliver for communities like ours.
With the rise of far-right movements, like One Nation, our movement faces a threat like no other. When I took the fight up to One Nation and called them out for racism, they responded with legal threats, demanding tens of thousands of dollars from me, simply because they claimed to be offended. I refused to pay and will not be silenced.
I will stand up for what matters every time, whether that is young people suffering from the housing crisis or working class families struggling to put food on the table.
